Winstarpr Cria Colegial...

Winstar Nightwatch Kennel recently participated in the Cria Colegial Rumbo al Centenario activity that took place on March 5, 2011 on the premises of the University in Mayagüez.

In the activity Tarzan and Jane, the college mascots, welcomed the community and their mascots to a day of competitions, grooming, exhibitions, orientation, music and food.

We participated in the exhibition portion of the activity. Bob, our explosives detection canine, marveled all spectators as he searched and identified the explosives hide. He clearly demonstratred his intelligence, speed and focus as he passively alerted to the hide site. A-Valcor, our narcotics detection canine, was able to hit on the hide for narcotics and later find the "missing evidence" in an open field.

Loyola's Kennel group also participated with us demonstrating canine work during a personal protection exercise.

The entire Cria Colegial activity was educational and fun. Our thanks to the organizers for the invitation.
